Minutes for 1789-1837 were issued by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Minutes for 1838-1869 were issued separately by Old School and New School factions, each of which claimed to be the official body and retained the original name. Minutes, 1870-1957 were issued by the reunited Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. In 1958, the United Presbyterian Church of North America and the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. merged to become the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. The 1958 minutes of all three bodies were issued together in 1958, the volume being the last issue of two serial publications, and the first issue of a third.
